[Lym is at school, and completely overwhelmed, sure its only elementary school but there are so many people. You can see her in class trying to pay attention, unless you are trying to explain that democracy is the best system out there, you may get a fight there. Or at least nonparliamentary styled versions. Or you may find her being less than impressed in her other classes.]

[Lym is window shopping, looking around and letting out a breath]

Nothing looks right. Is everyone in this town supposed to dress like a Barrows?

[Lym is in the basement this evening, staring at the bust with the sun rune that she's thrown 3 table cloths, a blanket and anything else she can over it with an irritated look on her face]

Boring things. I mean at home I had a whole nation to run. Here they talk to me like I'm a kid who doesn't understand anything. I don't think brother will teach me any fighting, there's no rune sages... No government. They tried to tell me I should learn to cook but... Isn't that what chefs are for?

As for cooking, knowing the basics is important if you ever get stuck without the chefs.

I'm the Queen. I mean I knew enough to ask a general or tactician but... No, I don't know any real fighting. And I can boil water... And uh... Cut some fruit... But its kind of sloppy... But still, being told I'll need to do that if I want a husband and that's it? That's stupid!

I had a husband once. It was horrible. I'm glad he's dead and never want to do that again!

Boiling water is good enough, it'll get you by in emergencies. And it can make a good weapon, too. [She's chuckling now.] You can always use it to scare off these people who say you need to cook to catch a husband.

I can teach you some basics in hand to hand combat.

You must have talked mostly to drones. They see no need for training. But, if you're here, it's best you know something. It'll make it easier if there are more people to fight and fewer to protect.

Hah! If your brother is learning, all the more reason! I don't know anything about rune magic. [Although, from what she'd seen of magic, some of it was more impressive than alchemy.]

What about weapons? Have you ever thought of using one?

I've been kept really kind of clear of them. My aunt used to use a fan! That was kind of pretty. Brother uses a staff that breaks into three parts and Miakis uses knives... But I never got to learn any of that.

I've never heard of using a fan as a weapon, but I imagine that must've been quite a sight. And the staff I'm less familiar with, but knives, swords, and guns I can teach you about.

Guns are those Harmonian things that only that one special assassin guild use, right? I erm, don't really like assassins... Well, Lyon is okay but she got better.

I'm not sure who or what Harmonians are, but yes, guns are usually the preferred weapons of assassins and snipers. They can be useful when needed, but I much prefer my sword, something that can be used effectively on the front lines.
