6th Royal loss

[First the Prince got droned, her brother didn't even know he was her brother. This put Lym in a dark mood, but when the next day Lyon also was acting the same weird way her mood worsened. She was moving in a slow way and it looks like she cried herself to sleep the next morning as she left the house]

Action 1 - Home to School

[Lym is going to school, not because its interesting, but more because being around Drone Lyon feels like she was kicked in the teeth. That being said she's just sort of shuffling there not paying much attention. If she bumps into someone, she just stares at her feet and moves around them before continuing on in a mechanical fashion.]

Action 2 - School

[Are you in the elementary school? Do you have a class with Lym? Maybe you teach one, who knows. But at the beginning of every class she asks if anyone knows anything about attaching a rune, then is generally quiet and sulky through the class before continuing her depressed shuffle to the next one.]

Action 3 - Park

[Its late and Lym hasn't gone home. She's really just sat in a swing not swinging since she saw a few drones on the way home from school. She's probably not going to be moving at this rate either but she looks utterly miserable]

Every ruler's new at some point.

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-06 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
I guess. I just... My ascension was... A sick joke. I'm just lucky it all turned out right.

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-06 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
No matter how messy things start, you can clean them up. [Canada pauses, looking over at the girl.]

Do you want to talk about it?

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-06 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
My kingdom had a tradition to determine who married the next in line. I abolished it but...

There was a games and the winner or the owner of the winner was betrothed to the princess. This guy... Cheated. Then killed my parents and tried to kill my brother. There was a messy civil war and almost nothing I could do.

I feel about as helpless here as I did there.

sorry for the delay!

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-09 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
Ah... I'm sorry. Thrones can make things complicated. In fact, they almost always do. But that doesn't mean you're helpless. There's always something, even if it's just supporting the people around you. Sometimes, that has to be enough.

No worries at all! Life happens! I envy people with them!

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-09 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
Do you think? I mean here?

this week was less life and more school trying to eat me, I think. :p

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-10 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
It doesn't hurt to try, does it? Every little thing helps, sometimes.

EH, think of all the world domination skills you are gaining then!

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-10 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
I guess. I just wish I was trained in something useful.

... /starts trying to apply ancient greek to world domination

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-10 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure you are, dear. What sorts of things do you know?

Worked for Alexander the Great

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-10 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
Mostly just how to utilize resources to keep a kingdom running. Maybe a little political backstabbing too, but I'm not proud of that.

this is true. :|a

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-10 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
That's not uncommon. I certainly wouldn't judge you by that skill. And resources... isn't that something we need to keep track of here? Where people are, what everyone has for skills? It may not be trading or anything like that, but it's still vital, and there can never be too many people working at keeping things organized.

I know he kicks my butt in Civ games all the time

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-10 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess. Still, I know brother did all that and he lead from the front.

[She lets out a sigh]

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-12 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
Well... think of it in the way that everything is the front here. Sometimes psychological torture doesn't have any enemies you can fight face to face.

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-12 11:54 am (UTC)(link)
So is that what this place is? Psychological torture?

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-13 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think I've seen anything to convince me otherwise.

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-13 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. I kind of hoped that was over.

[She lets out a breath]

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-15 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
Can I be extremely cynical for a moment and say it's probably never really over, not anywhere? All most people get is periods of tranquillity, when they're lucky.

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-15 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
No, cynical is all right. I'm trying not to end up being like that myself, especially with everything that happened at home, and now being here instead of being able to rebuild, and well... Brother.

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-16 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
When you go home, you can rebuild. And wouldn't your brother want you to be strong in the meanwhile?

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-18 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
I guess. Its just easier to be strong when... Well when you know what is going on.

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
It might be easier, but that certainly doesn't mean it's impossible this way.

[Canada watches the girl for a moment, then makes a soft, sympathetic sound.] You might need a night to recuperate before you get started on that strength, though. So do you have any friends you can stay with for tonight? One night out won't get you in trouble, and then tomorrow, I bet, you'll find your bravery.

[identity profile] solarhussyalert.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really. I haven't been here very long and I spent most of my time with my family. Maybe I'll just stay on the swings.

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-24 09:47 am (UTC)(link)
Why don't you come over to my house? I don't think staying all night on the swings will make you feel much better, sweetheart.

[identity profile] welljustwatchme.livejournal.com 2011-12-29 07:58 am (UTC)(link)
Of course. [She tries, when her boss allows it, to always keep her home open for whoever needs it. Usually this means immigration, but living in Mayfield has simply made it mean that whoever shows up in her living room gets her attention and whatever sort of thing they need to help them along.]

My name is Canada, by the way.
