For the drones it's the truth though. This is their home world after all. I know to you and me it sounds wrong but...

Nope.. It doesn't. We had one back home. Split into factions who spent all their time trying to gain power and didn't care about the people at all.

It seems to work in the states, but then again the people vote for their senate. Yours were just noble families, right?

In theory it started with the people picking them I think. But they got so rich and powerful they basically just took over.

I bet that after a while in these states the extremists will rewrite where the districts are so that if you're not with them you'll suffer and not get a real voice. Just a bunch of idiots chasing stupid agendas.
